Detroit Alumni Chapter, 41st Annual Dinner, San Marino Club, Troy, Michigan - October 13, 2005

On Thursday, October 13th Detroit area Alumni and guests enjoyed a lovely evening celebrating the chapter’s 41st annual dinner at the San Marino Club in Troy, MI. Joe Spielman ’68, Vice President and General Manager of GM Manufacturing was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award for his outstanding contributions to Kettering University/GMI. Mr. Spielman brought with him two new vehicles, a 2006 G6 coupe and a 2006 Buick Lucerne for display. Dr. Stan Liberty, President of Kettering University delivered the keynote address for the evening. In attendance were 66 Alumni, 15 guests, 12 students and 12 staff. Three worthy Kettering students received the Bob Wolforth Memorial Scholarships for 2005/6 school year; Sophomore, Ryan Matulich, Junior, Jessica Forman and Senior, Heather White. As always, there was good food, drinks and conversation. A great time was had by all.
