Dayton Chapter Events - July 27 & 28, 2007
On Friday July 27th Kettering and GMI alumni braved a threat of thunderstorms to test their golfing skills at the Beaver Creek golf club, in the Beaver Creek suburb of Dayton. The scramble event was won by the threesome of Evan Johnson '06, Ralph McCoy '52, and Kettering Alumni Director Mike Van Slyke '70. For those of you who are counting that's a 54 year span in this eclectic team.
On July 28th, the Dayton Chapter hosted a Wine and Food tasting reception at the trendy Grapes of Ruth Wine Shop. Six wine courses, paired with individual food samples, were offered completing an evening of conversation about the "good old days" at the corner of Third and Chevrolet. Kettering VP for University Advancement Dennis Washington updated the attendees on the status at Kettering and the upcoming capital campaign.
