Wine Tasting at Casa Largo Vineyards, Fairport, NY - May 5, 2007

On May 5, 2007, the alumni from the Western New York area gathered at Casa Largo Vineyards in Fairport, New York for a tour of the facility and to taste a few award-winning wines. Over 35 alumni and guests learned about the making of wine, the history of the winery, and were informed as to the proper way to appreciate the wine. Pam Gambrill, Director of Tours, says there are four “S” steps you must always follow: 1) “see” -look for the clarity of the wine 2) “swirl” – the wine so that oxygen mixes in with the wine 3) “smell” the favor of the wine and 4) “sip” the wine slowly for the best experience.
