Kettering University does not discriminate by reason of an individual’s race, color, sex, creed, age, handicap, or national origin.  No one is admitted to a Kettering University Graduate Program without a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. university/college or its International equivalent.


All students applying for admission must submit an official copy of their undergraduate transcripts from an accredited U.S. college or university. An “official transcript” is an unopened, original transcript that is mailed directly from the previous college to Kettering University. International students are required to submit educational documentation to National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). This will be at the expense of the student. Kettering University undergraduate students do not need to submit their Kettering transcripts, but are required to submit transcripts from any other university.

Letters of Recommendation

As part of the online application, you will be prompted to enter email addresses of those individuals providing your letters of recommendation.  Kettering University will contact these individual directly to provide a recommendation letter template.  Alternatively, these individuals may email free-form letters of recommendation to

Standardized Tests

Kettering University does not require the GMAT, GRE nor any other standardized tests. International applicants whose native language is not English and who have not earned a Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

MBA with Engineering Concentrations

Applicants into the MBA program with a concentration in engineering must posses a Bachelor of Science degree from an approved ABET-accredited engineering program.

Provisional Admission

Individuals with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 may be admitted provisionally. These students are required to achieve a 3.0 minimum grade point average during the first two courses of the program.
