Computer Science Laboratories
Most computer science courses include a laboratory component where you'll learn to write programs using contemporary tools and techniques.
General Purpose Laboratories
Several general purpose laboratories are available to all students on campus, on a 24/7 basis. These include PC laboratories (running Windows XP) and Sun workstation laboratories (running Solaris).
Many of these laboratories are used on a regular basis for instruction.
CS Systems Laboratory
Certain advanced classes are held in our CS Systems Laboratory. PCs running Red Hat Linux are used to teach modern operating systems concepts; students learn the internals of an operating system through projects which modify and extend the operating system. The laboratory includes a projector and whiteboards for conventional class instruction.
CS Secure Computation Laboratory
Certain classes are held in our CS Secure Computation Laboratory in room 3-341 AB.
