Applied Statistics Concentration

Statistical Analysis

Students majoring in applied mathematics at Kettering University with concentration in Applied Statistics will study modern statistical methods related to the acquisition, organization, analysis, and interpretation of data. This concentration includes courses that emphasize the theory and application of probability, statistics, and mathematical modeling. The coursework emphasizes the theory and applications of probability, mathematical and applied statistics, and mathematical modeling. Considerable emphasis is placed on additional core courses in science, management and humanities. This concentration provides excellent preparation for the student interested in starting a career as a statistician in the government or industry.
