Academic Advising and Course Scheduling
Overview of M.E. Academic Advisement & Registration Process
Academic advisement is mandatory for all M.E. students registering for their final academic term at Kettering, M.E. dual degree students, and M.E. Freshmen students. Students are not required to attend the entire advisement session. They may come and go as their class schedule allows.
All students are required to bring a current printout of their CAPP Degree Evaluation. For instructions on how to print your CAPP, go to: http://www.kettering.edu/offices/registrar/information-undergraduate-students/capp-degree-evaluation/capp-instructions-0. Please make sure that you print the “Detailed Page” of your CAPP (once you have requested a new CAPP, please click on the "View Previous Evaluations" button at the bottom of the screen to view your complete CAPP). If you have extra classes with a passing grade on the “Additional Page” that do not appear on the “Detailed Page” of your CAPP, please print this page as well.
PIN numbers will only be required for students requiring mandatory advisement, and will be distributed during the mandatory advisement sessions only. Students must have their student ID card and approved course selection form to receive their PIN number. All other students will use their normal Banner login username and password to access the registration module.
Students attending an advisement session must bring a completed “Course Selection Form” unless Summer 2014 is your last academic term. If Summer 2014 is your final academic term at Kettering, please bring a completed “Final Academic Term and Course Selection/Course Work Audit” form to your advisement session. You can access the online form from: http://www.kettering.edu/sites/default/files/resource-file-download/IA_Final_Term.pdf. If you download this form, you will need to bring a total of three completed/signed copies of the “Final Academic Term and Course Selection/Course Work Audit” form to the advisement session.
Course selection forms can be picked up in the Registrar’s Office as well as the M.E. Advising Office located on the 2nd floor of the CS Mott Engineering & Science Center. You can also download the form from: http://www.kettering.edu/sites/default/files/resource-file-download/IA_Course_Selection.pdf. If you download the form, you will need to bring a total of three completed/signed copies of the “Course Selection Form” to your advisement session.
Access to registration forms, class schedules, and representative schedules can be found in the Blackboard community “Mechanical Engineering Students”. Please click on “Documents”, and “Advisement and Registration Information” to access additional academic and registration materials.
