Who is FOLA?

FOLA is a group of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members who understand that the library and archives are two of Kettering University's most important resources. They are united by their determination to enrich these resources and to help serve the University and the community.

FOLA sponsors Gaming Night, New Faculty Orientations, and Holiday Receptions. The group has purchased tablets, ereaders, and laptops for students and faculty to check out, historic photographs for the Archives, and donated funds toward the purchase of the iMac and Production Studio software.

Photo by Linda Pierce. The academic life of a university revolves around its library. The Kettering University Library and Archives serve a dynamic student body, an active research and teaching faculty, and a vibrant local community.

The library provides access to information in whatever forms necessary to whoever needs it. Fulfilling these goals in these rapidly changing times is a great challenge, which can only be met by the dedicated service of the library and archival staff and friends. The goal of FOLA is to bring about the continuous improvement of the library and archives, to promote academic research, and to advance technologically, all of which will benefit our patrons.
