CETL recognizes the excellent contributions of faculty in their primary role of teaching.
There is a possibility of four different CETL Awards presented to Kettering faculty; Educational Scholar Award, Faculty Distinguished Citizenship Award, Outstanding Teaching Award and Tutt Award for Innovation in Teaching. Not all awards are given every year and there are occasions where multiple award winners are granted in a single year. These are publicly announced at the Kettering University Celebration of Excellence.
Students, faculty and staff members are recognized during the Celebration of Excellence, an event to honor the accomplishments and achievements of the campus community. The University President typically serves as master of ceremonies at the event.
