Call for Volunteers for the Strategic Visioning Working Groups
November 2011
The Planning and Assessment Council Steering Committee (PAC-SC) is very excited about the strong response that we received from the Strategic Visioning Kick-off, October 27, 2011 and the website. After reviewing the campus feedback, the PAC-SC synthesized four directional questions for the Kettering Vision 2019, as well as a list of feedback themes. Four working groups will be tasked with investigating and answering the directional questions, pulling upon the themes from the campus feedback provided in document at the following link: Campus Feedback.
Working Group Questions for Kettering 2019
- Group 1- Programs: What shall students learn?
- Group 2- Delivery: How shall students learn?
- Group 3- Setting/Student Life: How can we better support the setting for student learning?
- Group 4- Vitality: How can we enrich the intellectual life of the whole campus?
The PAC-SC will be forming the working groups and selecting the Group Leaders in the next few weeks. The Group Leaders will be trained and will have goals and strategies to make each meeting productive. The expectations are that the Working Group members will attend regular meetings and that they will be as open-minded as possible. A group member will take notes. Each group will keep PAC-SC informed of progress and any needs that must be met in order to keep the group on track. Each group will submit a final report by January 30, 2012. Following this, by February 20, 2012, the PAC-SC will synthesize the four reports into an integrated plan which will form the foundation for positioning Kettering for the future.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to be involved in creating a common vision for our future; a vision that expresses not only our hopes for our future, but also our core values and the priorities that will guide our growth. If you are interested in volunteering for one of the Working Groups, please contact Jackie El-Sayed at jelsayed@kettering.edu .
Warm regards,
The Planning and Assessment Council Steering Committee
