Update on Strategic Visioning
December 2011
After the strong Strategic Visioning Kick-Off event on October 27 with over 200 in attendance, the Planning and Assessment Committee Steering Committee (PAC-SC) launched a Strategic Visioning website on November 1.
The PAC-SC then collected and synthesized the feedback from the event participants and from the website into the themes for the Working Groups. A call for volunteers went out to the campus on November 23 and many individuals answered the call. On December 2, the PAC-SC met to form the membership of each of five Working Groups and selected two Co-Chairs for each. Each Working Group will have a PAC-SC liaison for coordination. The Working Group Co-Chairs participated in a two hour training on December 14 and the first organizational meetings of all groups were held directly after this. Dr. McMahan addressed everyone to thank them for the work that they were about to undertake and provide insight as to how important this is to Kettering’s future direction. The Working Groups have a deadline of early February to complete their work and will be engaging the campus for input. To follow the progress, please see the Kettering University Strategic Visioning Website at the following link.
