Labs:

  • The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department's Advanced Power Electronics Lab is devoted solely to power electronics work and is a new showcase of the research capability the university offers to the corporate world.
  • The new 3,200-square-foot Chemical Engineering facilities feature a state-of-the-art lab, a classroom and design center, a department studio and five faculty offices.  
  • The Vehicle Durability and Integration Lab, commonly referred to as the “Shaker Lab,” tests vehicles and components by shaking them. 
  • Kettering undergraduate students have access to research labs and equipment, accessible only to graduate students in many other universities.
  • Chemistry students get hands on experience with a 400 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer.

Students work with award-winning staff also. Dr. Charles Hanson, director of Kettering's Library, received the 2010 Michigan Library Association Award of Excellence, the highest recognition in Library Services in Michigan.
